Today, I h...Heck, is there romance after 36 years? Today, I had forgotten that it was Valentine's Day. Years ago, Leroy would always buy me a dozen roses. I appreciated the gesture, but eventually told him I don't need roses. Flowers are so expensive, and I just hate to have someone spend money on them for me. Just like jewelry. I love to look at baubles in the jewelry store, but have no desire to own anything other than my wedding ring. It's just something to worry about.

Leroy called from work this morning about 7:45 and told me he forgot it was Valentines Day. I think he figured I was sitting at home stewing about the fact that he didn't wish me a happy v. day. Like I said...I forgot! So he said to call the moms and we'd take them out for lunch. We packed 'em up and headed for our favorite Chinese place.

I'd much rather have General Tso's chicken than a dozen roses.

Happy Valentine's Day, Leslie! Oh, and here's a little factoid. Leroy's grandfather was born on Valentine's Day and his name was actually "Valentine Day". Is that a hoot?Cissy Applehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06737924113433735137noreply@blogger.com
