Do you have any idea how many superheroes there are? I don't think anyone does. Why? Because there are so darn many of them from several different sources. Not to mention, I think the definition of 'superhero' is stretched to the max when characters like Bartman from the Simpson's and Jerry from the Tom and Jerry cartoon are listed.
We tend to think of the superheroes from Marvel and DC Comics. Those are two pretty big ones. But I did a web search and Wikipedia shows tons of the them. TONS!
So, I found a website that lists superheroes/villains in order by the number of appearances they have in comic books. I'll give you the Top Ten.

Comic Vine shows a total of 44,842 superheroes. Wow, that's a lot! And I'm not even on the list! Jerry the mouse is listed, but no Leslie. Actually, that's not true. I checked again...there are 11 Leslie's on the list, mostly just characters in other's comic books. None of them is me.
